Where every pixel has it’s own properties and physics

Noita is a roguelike like no other simple graphic with complex mechanics makes a great game for anyone.

Style: 9/10 Gameplay: 9/10 Story: 1/3 Overall: 9.5/10

Style 9/10

The simple pixel art is perfect for a game like Noita where every pixel and monster needs to be accounted for. The sound design is splendid with every grunt heard from a unseen enemy can cause you to panic then die by jumping in a pool of chaotic polymorphine which then turns you into a fire skull drowning you in water.

Gameplay 9/10

The gameplay starts out simple, you have a wand and there is a cave in front of you, good luck. Naturally you die and start over and over and over again, until you get the run of your life. After a two floors I got a nuke wand curious to see what it does I fired it at a nearby wall and killed pixel onscreen including myself. And with that I kept on playing to discover more content. With the endless hidden content like the alchemy mechanic what else is there to say about this game.

Story 1/3

From what I could tell there was no story, only lore from hidden codded messages from the game.

Overall it is a hard addictive game that gives just enough curiosity for you to keep on playing to see what the next run has in-store for you.
